Vinyl Sign Banners - Does The Material Make A Difference?

If you have been looking for a custom vinyl sign banner you have probably heard the terms 10 ounce or 13 ounce material. Does this matter? The answer is absolutely yes. The weight of the vinyl banner material makes a huge difference.
If a vinyl banner is made with 10 ounce material then this means that the vinyl weighs 10 ounces per square yard. In all of our sign banner printing we use 13 ounce for a single sided banner and 16 ounce for a double sided vinyl banner. It may seem like the difference between 10 and 13 ounces would be small but it is actually quite significant. An 8 or 10 ounce material is quite light compared to 13 ounce material. Using a 13 ounce material will give you a good strong banner that will hang straight and last longer than a vinyl banner made with a lighter material.
For a double sided banner we suggest using a 16 ounce material with a block-out layer. The block-out layer on a double sided banner is essential because this is what keeps the sun or light from shinning through and causing a shadow from one side to the other. A double sided vinyl banner also needs to be stronger because of the way they are installed. While most single sided banners are attached to a wall or fence so there is not much stress put on the material. Double sided sign banners are generally hung by the 4 corners between two post so that both sides of the banner can be easily read. There are also finishing options that can add strength and durability to your vinyl banner. Please see our article on vinyl sign banner finishing options.
Another material that is growing in popularity is what is known as a mesh banner material. This is a material that is actually a tightly woven mesh that will allow the wind through but still allow the sign copy to be easily read. This is highly recommended in windy conditions.

How To Design A Business Card

A business card should do something for your business...like all your marketing materials.
Here is a list of DO's and DON'Ts that we have learned from our own business cards & designing them for clients.
DO:
Get a professionally-designed & printed card and not one from those instant machines or self-printed efforts. Your business card may not be the first impression a prospect gets of you, but it may be the one that lasts.
Include only relevant contact details on your card - the ones you want people to use to contact you. I tend to put only my email address on because I would rather people email me than call randomly for a chat & disturb me in the middle of something to ask more about my services.
Always include the address of your blog or website (or both), it is a great way of driving traffic to your site.
Include your 'compelling offer' or key marketing message somewhere on the card if you can.
Include a photo of yourself or something else that is a little bit noteworthy to make the prospect/contact remember you. This is especially useful if you are at a networking event where people get stacks of cards and then go through them back at the office and chuck most of them in the bin.
Ask your printer if they can seal or laminate the card so the print does not smudge (when you keep cards together in your wallet/purse and they are not sealed, they will smudge).
DO NOT:
Try to cram too much information on there and end up with a confusing mess that no-one can really read.
Use just 1 side of your card (unless you cannot afford double-sided printing), it is a total waste of space.
Use low resolution graphics which will look pixellated when they are professionally printed (your designer should advise you about this).
Use a fancy font just because it looks nice but is totally unreadable. Ideally, do not use more than 2 different font types.
Get your cards printed on some flimsy, cheap paper which creases & wrinkles whilst it is in your wallet/purse. It is worth paying the extra to get them printed on a decent weight of cardboard (at least 300gsm).
Use all the colours of the rainbow just because your printer offers a good rate for 4 colour printing.

How Keyrings Are Used In Marketing

Keyrings serve many functions within the overall marketing mix. Over the years, a diverse range of organisations, ranging from large and small businesses, associations, schools, clubs, charities and others have turned to keyrings when they have needed some inexpensive yet effective publicity.
Whether intended to be inspirational, commemorative or simply a bit of fun, keyrings can be made to any design, in a wide variety of eye-catching shapes, sizes, colours and materials.
At a corporate level, keyrings are an excellent way to promote a business, product or service. Depending on the product type selected, one side of the keyring can be used to display a company’s contact details whilst the other is used to display a logo, product image or advertising slogan.
Their low unit price makes keyrings cheap but influential promotional giveaways to hand out in large numbers at events such as exhibitions, trade shows or conferences in order to publicise a company or brand. In contrast, top-of-the-range premium quality bespoke designer keyrings make a lasting impression as corporate gifts.
Many charities and other not-for-profit organisations also regularly turn to keyrings when they are looking for decent quality, small scale items for fundraising purposes.

Marketing with Promotional Pens

How many pens do you have on your desk? Probably quite a few. How many of these have a logo on them - more than half? This is no accident; the use of promotional pens as an advertising tool is one of the most effective marketing strategies a company can employ.
So how has the humble pen become so powerful? Firstly, there is the cost element. Many forms of advertising are expensive - whether it is placing an advert in a newspaper to plugging your company on the radio. Putting your logo on a pen, on the other hand, is relatively inexpensive.
Secondly, there is usage. If you give a customer a pen as a freebie, they will most likely use it - and every time they do so they will be reminded of your brand. It’s also likely that more than one person will come into contact with your logo’d pen – increasing your exposure at no extra cost!
Branding potential is a yet a further reason why promotional pens are so popular. Most pens can be printed with your full colour logo or design and you can choose barrel and clip colours that complement your corporate palette. Many metal pens also have the option of engraving so you can create a long lasting personalised message at minimal cost.
The sheer versatility of promotional pens means that they can be used for practically any type of promotion and by any type of business. This appeal is what makes them universally so attractive. Even for those with little marketing experience, the relative ease of putting your logo literally in your clients’ hands is what makes a promotional pen so appealing. Last year alone, it is reported that 100 million pounds was spent on promotional pens – significantly higher than any other type of product. This is a powerful indication of just how influential a promotional pen can be.

The Mystical Good Classified Ad

With the boom of the Internet, online advertising is getting increasingly popular; there are now so many ways to do it. Not to mention it being the cheapest and easiest way too. However, it doesn’t matter how you advertise. What is most crucial to online advertising is getting seen, and noticed.
Classified advertising has got to be the easiest, cheapest, and with the best ROI (Return On Investment) form of online advertising. Advertising with well known sites providing classified ad service (e.g. Craigslist.org, USFreeads.com, and Ablewise.com) will definitely provide a boost in your ROI. But that is only one of the steps in achieving your advertising goal.
An equally important factor that must be considered is your viewing audience. If you try to sell a dog to a person looking for automobiles, naturally there would be no interest in your ad. Placing your ads in the most accurate category will greatly enhance the chances of your ad getting seen as well. But what is really needed, is to know how to write a good ad.
The four core elements of a good ad are Attention, Interest, Desire and Action, codenamed “AIDA”.
Attention: This is extremely important. You will need to get your audience’s attention. The best way to do this will be to write a good ad headline. With the correct words, a headline can be made attractive, and generate users’ attention. A point to note: do not use all uppercase alphabets (or other ASCII characters other than normal alphabets or numbers e.g. lots of exclamation marks or asterisks). Your audience will know it’s just a gimmick to catch their first-glance.
Interest: You will need to generate interest via your ad description; else your targeted audience would not bother reading through your ad. State what your product or company offers that your competitors do not, or what makes your product stand out from the rest.
Desire: You must stir up the desire to buy your product and/or service. Extol the virtues and benefits that can be gained from buying your product.
Action: Finally, after going through your ad, get your audience to take action. Provide details like a contact number, postal address, an e-mail address. The more details that are provided, the more trustworthy you will seem.
Lastly, do not attempt to compose a composition or write a book with your ad. Keep your ads short, sweet, and interesting. Most people wouldn’t bother reading through an entire ad if, at first glance, they see a mass of words.
It is also necessary to track the performance of your ads. Sites like Ablewise.com have good built-in performance tracking tools for your ads, which makes tracking a breeze. Tweak your ads bit by bit (e.g. changing keywords in ad title), and see which version gets the best results. This way, not only will you get better results for your ads, you will learn what makes your audience tick, and be able to write better ads in the future.

Small Business Tip - Sometimes, Less Is More

If you are a small business owner or are self employed, you have no doubt run into the challenges of designing a newspaper ad, sales pitch, or direct mail campaign. The tough part is deciding how much information to advertise, and many such marketing campaigns fall short or fail due to a lack of basic planning. Whether you are soliciting prospects by telephone, direct mail, door to door, television, radio, or internet, the campaign must be appropriate. What is your particular goal? Would you like your prospect to pick up the phone and call you? To visit your store? To send in a tear-off post card requesting information? The answer will determine how much, and what information should be advertised.
Here’s a good example that illustrates the point: Several years ago, I had some great success with a direct-mail campaign I designed for my business. I mailed out 3,000 postcards at a time to a list of prospects. My goal was simple – to get them to call so that I could set an appointment to meet with them and demonstrate my company’s services. The postcard was simple – on one side, it had a picture with a catchy slogan, and on the reverse, a list of features and benefits of our services. On the bottom, it said, “call today for more info,” and listed our phone number. We got many phone calls, which led to appointments and sales.
A friend of mine who is a business owner tried the same thing, but did not get the same results. Frustrated, he asked me to look at his postcard to determine the reason for the lack of calls. As soon as I looked at it, I realized the problem – in an attempt to seem more professional, he listed his website on the post card. Since it was much easier for the prospect to simply look at his website and get the info, only a few people called and therefore there were not many appointments set. This was a missed opportunity to speak to the prospect personally and gain her trust. Had my friend planned by asking himself, “What is the purpose of this postcard?” he would have realized that it is sometimes appropriate to include less information. In sales and marketing, there are times to saturate your campaign with information, and other times, it seems, less is more.

Trade Show Display Pop Up Booths - 4 Tips To Have A Productive Las Vegas Trade Show

Going to Las Vegas isn’t only to gamble anymore it is to make a lot of business and at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Mandalay Bay Convention Center and Sands Expo & Convention Center the diversity of events weekly is so assorted every active business big and small ends up there during the seasons one way or another. One thing they all have in common is putting on the best show they can in a short amount of time to gain the sales and connections they need and want. Since most exhibitors are not from the Las Vegas area this means packing light or planning ahead of time.
Our four tips below can help make your Las Vegas trade show experience modified to your expectations when it comes to your booth design. Without heavy duty lifting or production you can have a booth design in a matter of minutes that is unique and personalized. Instead of planning and debating for hours just remember these 4 things.
1.Space and air: It is hard to sell with a cluttered booth so whether you are installing, dismantling or using a Pop Up booth display at a trade show remember that space is limited sometimes so use your area, define your space but always think: Less is More -when it comes to accessorizing or diluting your image.
2.Time is of the essences. Only within a three to five day span you will have set up and sold, hopefully. When using a portable Pop Up booth take advantage of the walls and think of this as a portable ad campaign or billboard and create signage that is quick, easy to read and to the point. This way most people that are coming into your booth will already be interested in your products and services before you say a word because they got the vibe from your signage.
3.Product placement. While at your trade show in Las Vegas, only show your best items and put them at eye level and able to be reached and touched and see. Keep your booth tidy and organized at all times, constantly check the floor because even though it’s not included with your Pop Up display trade show Booth, trash like straw wrappers, do not sell you well.
4.Whether you Buy or Rent your Pop Up Display booth, change it up every season or so. Have something similar to be remembered like your logo on the top header above the Plasma TV, but the photomural panel and DVD video should be updated and re-created, just like your products and services are.
Sometimes just having the marketing tools or booth display like a custom made Pop Up Display trade show booth package from ICCRents isn’t enough. You have to fill it with your own voice and products and let the booth be your shop for a few days, your showroom, office, and lively homage and we hope our tips help you have a fantastic trade show experience so you can build your business.

The Science of Process Mapping

You may have heard that process mapping is the same thing as flow charts. While they are similar, there are specific differences. However, many people still use the terms process mapping, flow charts and process charts interchangeably. It is an old technique that is really easy and simple to use in order to streamline your work. You will need experienced and professional facilitators to help you with process mapping.
Process mapping can help you with anything in your life, but most people use it in their businesses to help keep all of their projects running smoothly and on track. A process map will help you visually see how you will get from point A to point B. It will show you the most productive way to get to your planned goal in the least amount of time. It is a great technique for businesses of any size and their employees.
As long as you have an experienced and professional facilitator doing the process mapping for you the results will be astounding. You will notice the difference between your current system and process mapping immediately. Everyone will benefit from it, and no one needs to be trained before utilizing this technique from an experienced process mapping facilitator.
Process Mapping For Achieving Your Goals –
A process map will first require you to establish what the exact project is. Identifying what your project is exactly will help you in your first step towards better planning and goal achievement. If you are working with a product this first step will be easy, but if you are working with a service you may have a more difficult time identifying your product. This is all right, as doing so will help you in your business for the rest of your business’ life.
The process map will show you visually each step that needs to be taken in order to reach your goal for your product. This will be done in very small increments, as well as larger ones. It is pertinent that you include all of the information you have, even if you think it does not or will not effect your project. This will help you see the larger picture within the small increments of steps you need to take in order to reach your goal.
Be sure that each step, every piece of information, and each small goal will help you reach your large goal. All of your smaller steps should contribute in some way to what you need to have completed.
Process mapping will help you reach your goals faster, easier and without wasting any unnecessary time or money. It can help you with a team of employees, as well as with a team of managers or directors. It works with small businesses and large corporations. Saving time and money is probably already a part of your business goals, and adding process mapping will help you do just that.

Will Magnetic Marketing Help or Hurt My Lawn Care Business?

If you're a lawncare specialist, you could always use more business. Customers move, change jobs, and disappear for all sorts of reasons. You continually need to find new clients to take the place of those who leave - even when you're the best lawncare there is. It's simply not enough to do a great job -- you have to determine a way for prospects to understand that you're a great lawncare specialist and how to find you. One of the best ways to handle this marketing/advertising need is to invest in a set of high-quality magnetic signs.
Give me a moment of your time to understand how magnetic signage can bring you more business, and picture your lawncare business enjoying the benefits:
1. Your magnetic vehicle signs will generate immediate response. You don't need to wait for printing and distribution like with yellow pages or magazine advertising. With a carefully constructed marketing message, you'll get calls immediately. Many of my clients have received calls from people driving right next to them to see if they could schedule a time for a bid. How's that for fast? The magnetic signs absolutely bring in the customers and they will pay for themselves in no time.
2. When a next-door neighbor sees your sign, they assume you're worth the risk. Since someone just like them has has hired you, they'll just work directly with you and save time. Quite a few of my clients have ended up getting asked to come next door to give an estimate while they’re delivering an estimate to their neighbor.
3. Magnetic signs are a one shot expense. After purchasing your magnetic signage, they're all yours. Unlike most other advertising, there's no need to keep paying month after month to keep the customers coming in. Simply by doing the driving you already do or keeping your truck parked in a good location, you are putting your company name in front of people who are most likely to use your services.
4. The signs are removable. Today, community associations limit the kind of advertising allowed in their neighborhood. Since you can easily remove your magnetic sign - you instantly solve the problem. Just take your magnetic sign from your truck, and you're good to go.
5. With attractive and well-composed magnetic vehicle signs, your company stands out from the rest and get noticed. The key to this is spending time working out layout of your truck signage. You need to work with a magnetic sign maker who will partner with you to create an effective marketing message. You are an expert at lawncare, and you need to partner with a magnetic sign maker who is an expert at landing you more clients. Request and review a proof before your signs are complete.
6. Your signs are easy-to-care for and last a long time. Simply follow the directions your sign maker provides. Every two months or so, the magnetic vehicle signs ought to be removed, washed with a mild detergent, and then air-dried. A number of my clients have had magnetic truck signs for years that look as great as they did when they were made.
7. This is an excellent, cost-effective tool for attracting customers. Magnetic truck signs are so much cheaper than nearly every other form of advertising. The cost of a couple of magnetic signs will only be about $80 - that's far cheaper than yellow pages or newspaper advertising.

Windows Graphics - Taking It To The Streets

Unfortunately the old standby methods of advertising, such as flier inserts or radio ad spots are becoming a thing of the past. There is less interest in reading anything that isn’t on the internet or listening to anything that isn’t on an mp3 player. Advertisers have had to work at coming up with new ideas to capture those consumer dollars and there’s no doubt that attractive graphics in eye catching colors and catchy slogans are attracting potential customers.
Window graphics can reach out and grab the attention of even the busiest person. It's a case of "they just have to stop and look" and that imprints on the visual memory, meaning they will remember what they saw because it made an impact. People are by nature, curious beings and if you put large vinyl self stick graphics on a store window you will see an increase in traffic coming into that store.
Advertisers are taking advantage of this tried and true idea with a relatively new twist and taking it to the streets, literally! By adapting the same attention getting ideas as used in store fronts, they are now applying vinyl graphics to car windows, but new technology has taken it one step further. By developing a vinyl graphics material with perforations, the industry has created a product that adheres well to glass and can survive the extreme conditions of intense sunlight and heat.
The unique quality of this vinyl graphics material is that it acts almost like a two way mirror. While those outside can see the colorful message, they can't see in, but anyone inside the car has a clear and unobstructed view to the outside. So this makes it a completely safe material to use. It lasts longer with no flaking or pealing and will not damage your car windows when removed.
These qualities make auto windshields the ideal billboard on wheels to promote your services, products or website. Once installed this form of advertising is virtually free and the vinyl graphics on your window will get the message out there, whether on the move or sitting still.
There are still relatively few advertisers using vinyl graphics on autos as a form of advertising. This means that innovative business owners can take advantage of a perfect opportunity to use this unique form of promotion.Vinyl graphics with their bright colors and customized logos can create a winning plan for any business owner

When Do You Use Photos And Images In Your Business Cards

If you really want your business cards to stand out, why not try to design a business card printing project with a photo or graphic image in it? Or do you really need to add one to your business card printing project to make it more attractive? How do you choose between more words or additional pictures to make your business card printing project more effective marketing tools?
You need to consider several things before you decide whether to include pictures in your business card printing project or just go for simple and plain words. Often, the decision you make to include or not pictures in your business cards can make or break your target clients’ response to your print cards.
First off, consider your limited space on your business card printing project. Does your space need more elements, or can it hold illustrations in addition to your business card printing copy.
Second and most important factor is to consider how you’re going to use your business cards. When do you plan to hand them out? Where do you intend to hand them out? And who will be your target audience?
If you plan to make your business cards do the job of getting a set of audience that doesn’t know you, then you need to have a business card printing project that attracts and grabs the attention of your target clients. Pictures and photos can help you do all those things. Even with the absence of a personal contact, your business card printing project can provide your prospective clients an image of what you have to offer for your business, as well as what benefits can your prospective clients get from your business.
On the contrary, if you intend to give your business cards to those who know you already (like existing clients, relatives, and business associates) you don’t need to use an overwhelming business card printing design to get them to know your business. What they need would be more information so it is better to create a business card printing design that includes a more expanded version of your contact information. This may include new store hours, additional store locations, or even new products and services.
Knowing beforehand how you’re going to use your business card printing project can provide you with a more appropriate decision whether to use pictures in your business card printing project or not.

Clarity In Advertising

No matter what you are doing in life, chances are that for a business you are going to need to advertise. No matter if you have a business in your home, in your basement, or online, you will need to do advertising because this is the only way that someone can know you are there, and that someone can become your client. You have to be sure that you are doing the advertising that you need to do and that you are doing it well, so that you can get as much out of your business as you’d like to.
The first thing that you need to do is think about what type of advertising you are going to need. This is largely based on what type of business you have and where you are located. If you have a local business and rely on the people who live and work in your area to make your money and to be your customers, Internet advertising is not for you. However, if you don’t need a local clientele, then the Internet is the best place for you to advertise. Whether to use the internet to advertise or not is a big decision that you have to make, and you want to be sure that you are doing this correctly.
Once you have decided where you want to advertise, then you are going to have to work on the advertisements themselves. This is where it is very important to keep clarity in mind. You want to be sure that you are creating advertisements with nothing left to question.
The first thing you should do is boil down your business into one main idea. Do you sell books? Cut hair? Offer a service? What, exactly, is it that you are doing? This is one of the main questions you have to answer, because most of the best advertising is going to revolve around the idea of what you are doing. You don’t want people to be confused. You also want people to think of you when they need whatever it is that you do.
Next, you want to think about your target audience. You need to be able to structure your ads in a way that makes sense for them, and so you need to know exactly whom you are dealing with. You really want to make sure that you are on top of your game when it comes to who your target add audience is so that you can be sure that you are finding them. This is the best way that you can make sure you develop ads with them in mind, ads that are going to reach them in exactly the way that you need them to be reached.
IF you have the time and money, you can also advertise out in the world, not just on the Internet. This is something that you can do by way of posters, billboards and flyers and by other methods as well. The main idea is that you should find out where your customers are going to be, and locate them, whether it is in the real world or whether it is online. Once you have located your customers, you can go ahead and start advertising in ways that they are going to understand, and ways that they are going to be able to take advantage of.

Benefits of Radio Advertising

Marketing plays a vital role in any business and can ultimately determine the success or failure of a company. Although some perceive radio advertising to be too expensive for small businesses, and perhaps even an obsolete medium to reach audiences, they could not be more wrong. In fact, radio advertising is affordable and has proven to be the most effective medium for delivery of advertisements to targeted audiences.
Audience- Potential Customers
In the United States, about 95% of people listen to the radio on a weekly basis. People wake up to the radio in the morning, listen to the radio on the way to and from work, hear it while at the workplace, and may stay up to hear the late-night talk shows.
Radio talk programs, morning shows, shock-jocks, and listener call-in shows all provide an enormous audience base for you to advertise your product or service.
Targeting your Audience
In addition to the sheer size of your potential customer base, radio advertising provides an effective way to specifically target your prime audience. Every radio station appeals to its own unique demographic. Some radio stations are liberal, some conservative. There are religious stations, children’s stations, and sports stations. This natural division of interests into specific listener groups makes radio the prime medium to selectively target your specific consumer base.
Not only do different consumer groups divide by station, but by listening times, as well. It has been shown that the majority of adults listen to the radio to and from work, while younger listeners are more often tuned in during the afternoon, after school. This means that if your business offers sports equipment for kids, then you can choose to advertise at 4:30 in the afternoon, on the children’s stations and sports stations. Budget
Radio is actually an extremely cost-effective medium for you to advertise your business on. Radio spots can require a smaller budget than advertising in newspapers and magazines. In addition, your radio ads can be more comparable to larger competitor’s ads, since there is no cost of competing visually with them, such as with television ads.
Effectiveness
Perhaps the biggest benefit of using radio advertising is the effectiveness of ads on listeners. Radio is perceived as the most intimate of advertising mediums, because people are so often alone when listening to the radio, such as when driving to and from work.
Also, people usually tend to develop a personal relationship with their favorite radio stations and programs, more so than television. As a result, people have been found to be more accepting of radio ads than of any other type of advertising media. This intimacy provides an opportunity to contact more personally with consumers, and to arouse emotions in the listener which, if all goes well, will increase the chance of a sale.

Promotional Products - Changing Lives

By distributing promotional products without worrying about high costs, you can be easily seen as a generous and thoughtful individual. The efficacy of promotional items is endless, but some of the most common uses are:-
1. New sales generation2. Customer retention3. Image enhancement4. Dealer and retailer motivation5. Brand Awareness and Visibility
What makes promotional products so successful?
• Longer exposure: - Promotional products remain in front of your target audience’s (customers, employees, and business partners) eyes- a great advantage over all other advertising plans.

How To Select The Right Promotional Product

Every business wants to enjoy the high position in the business arena. They should have the highest number of sales, huge profit margin, the best resources, and the dependable employees. All these factors contribute to make your business a hit. Apart from these factors, there is one more factor which plays a crucial role and that is promotional product. Promotional products should be effectively used to build business strategies, consolidating business identity, reinforcing your corporate message, and boosting sales promotions. You can achieve all these activities easily by using promotional products. There are innumerable promotional products available in the market but you have to be careful while selecting the best one from the lot
Promotional products should be selected according to your business genre and needs. If you are into leather business, then gifting promotional umbrella won’t be a wise decision, instead gift promotional pen in a leather case. By this recipients will be able to relate that product with your business nature. Your chosen promotional products should easily solve your purpose of marketing and advertising. It is an open fact that, no marketing and advertising campaign is complete without promotional products, so make sure you buy the best and the most suitable one. Many companies think that to attract more people and eye balls, you should buy an expensive promotional gift. This is completely wrong, as your promotional product should be useful rather than being expensive.
Choose promotional products keeping recipients in mind too, as you can’t afford to give promotional pen to CEO of a company. For him you should buy products such mugs, USBs, and keychains. They might sound repetitive and clichéd gifts but they work better. This doesn’t mean promotional pens shouldn’t be gifted to anyone. You can gift them but to a certain section of audience. Majority businesses indulging in marketing and advertising campaigns try to use promotional products effectively for achieving short-term goals along with long-term goals. This is the beauty of promotional products; they can be used in varied occasions for various purposes. We at Click Promo Gifts duly understand that you business means a lot to you, so for that purpose we provide a wide range of promotional products.

More than your catalog printing content and listing of your products and services, what attracts your target readers to your catalog printing project are the photos and illustrations you decide to include in your print marketing materials.
A picture paints a thousand words. That is why in your catalog printing project, you have to make sure that your photos and pictures paint a pretty picture when it comes to promoting your business.
When hiring a graphic designer and photographer to work for the elements in your catalog printing project, hire someone who knows everything there is to know about photography because it can make or break your target readers’ reaction to your print catalogs. Or if you decide to do it yourself, here are a few suggestions to help you get the most of your catalog printing photography experience:
Product/Service is king. You always have to remember that without your products and services, your catalog printing project is nothing. You only have your catalog printing pieces because of one reason: to promote your products and services.
No matter what the style, design or layout of your pictures and photos, the bottom line is to highlight your products and services.
The most popular catalog printing photos are often featured in bold and brilliant colors, with clear and concise format, no background, but with a soft drop shadow. This makes it easy for your target readers to know what’s in store for them.
By using no added element to enhance your products and services in your catalog printing photography, it produces better pictures by:
• making the feature products seem like they’re ready to jump off the page;• creating much larger photos;• providing the easy transition between the product edges and the page, which is done by the drop shadow effect; and• creating much flexible product photos and pictures.
Group Shots: Avoid Like The PlagueAlthough your catalog printing project includes many of your products and services (in fact, all of them), it doesn’t mean that you have to get them in groups to maximize your space. You put them all together in groups to help you give equal exposure to each one of your products.
However, studies have shown that instead of giving each of your products the proper exposure, group shots only make it less favorable to the eyes of your target readers. More than anything else, your group shots of your products help in decreasing your products’ sales opportunity in your catalog printing project. Better to just do them individually.
Always get full ownership rights. Most photographers charge you per photo done. In addition, they retain the ownership of the photo rights. In order to avoid this, you might want to look for a catalog printing photographer who charges by the hour and lets you negotiate with them regarding the unlimited use of your catalog printing photos or even outright ownership.
And as always, the bottom line is to get a catalog printing photographer that is willing to work with you to achieve what you have in mind for your catalog printing project.
Every person you let in to help you come up with an award winning catalog printing (for your target readers, that is) should act and do their tasks like family – caring for the project and wanting the same things that the owner dreams for his or her business. Only when you find these persons that you’ll be guaranteed to achieve your dreams for your business.

Wondering What Truck Advertisements Are All About?

Advertising world is full of new innovative ideas. With mobile advertisements getting popular as compared to traditional advertisements, you must have seen vinyl decals on many personal and commercial vehicles. Vinyl decals are those bright colorful plastic looking stickers and larger wraps, which are easily applied to the body of the car, motorcycles and even trucks!
Whether you own a single car or a fleet of trucks, vehicle wraps look wonderful as a canvas of bright colors intermingled with photos and catchy by lines. Advertisers are cashing on these big new ways to attract customers and make people aware of the new products on sale. When they say “Bold is Beautiful” think truck advertising!
Yes, the best way to sell your products is to do innovative marketing. Using trucks as mobile billboards is the perfect way to make people aware of the latest, sale, exhibitions, product launch or maybe a new music festival. Whatever, needs to be told, say it big and loud! Get the best professional to do the truck wrap for your company and announce it around unobtrusively but let your stamp remain on the minds of the people for a long time. With new cutting edge digital printing technology, you can get the best photos printed on the wraps, new adhesives are safe on the vehicle body and do not spoil the body paint either.
You can very easily covert a dull truck into an attractive billboard. Take advantage of the huge size of the truck to spread your message loud and bold. Bigger pictures, larger message, perfect silent, eco friendly advertising. With truck graphics and advertising you have bold slogans, larger than life graphics and multi hued vinyl decals, promoting the product or event.
From body wraps to vehicle stickers, advertising on trucks has become very popular. You can see bigger pictures at slightly more cost but the target audience is mesmerized with the sheer color and size of a professionally done truck as a billboard. Trucks can really enhance the complete look of the advertisement designing and presentation. It is more economical to get a truck wrap done than pay money to TV channels for a 30 second prime time advertisement. Here you can hire a whole fleet on a monthly basis which when they travel, help to spread the message far and wide with a larger audience across the whole state.

Flyer Printing - 5 Ways to Ease Into Your Printing Projects

Working on your printing project can be time-consuming, exhausting and even troublesome at times. All of these may occur with a simple printing job such as flyer printing. However, this is not to say that these circumstances are avoidable.
You can make printing easier. After all, the road to a hassle-free printing starts with you before you even turnover your task to a professional printing company.
Here five great ideas you can apply to launch your flyer printing off:
1. Set a Workable Deadline
First of all, flyer printing can be done by just one person or it can be done in a group. With the flow of work and the division of labor, it is only practical for you to set a generous amount of time for your flyers or campaign.
Remember, while you may not work within a group, you will still be relying on a printing company for your flyers. It pays to include turnaround times and shipping time into your deadline. Leave too plenty of time for retrieving printing quotes and proofs. And even if you happen to run into some bad luck, it would prove useful that you have extra days for revision once your printer sends back your file for low resolution, unconverted CMYK images and the like.
2. Creative Concepts and Mechanics
Creative concept refers as to how you package your campaign into your flyers. This includes the copy or the text, together with the photos or design and the theme which you are trying to pull off.
Nevertheless, you cannot do away with creative concepts without mechanic which refers to the medium – flyers. You have to know how you can transfer your ideas unto the flyers. No, not just by printing it.
You have to know the strengths of the flyers. You have to know too how you will layout your design properly so you have a truly optimized and effective flyer printing.
3. Get into the Nitty Gritty Details of Your Prints
Your flyer printing project is like no other. You know the look, the feel, the image you are trying to pull off so do it. Get into the nitty gritty details that should appear in your flyers.
Ask how you can the definition you want for your prints, the color accuracy and the likes. If you want to have custom jobs such as die-cutting, it helps to know just how accurate it will be done and so on.
4. Unique Selling Proposition
Remember the most important things that you would want to highlight about your products or services in your flyers. If you’re not selling anything, the same philosophy applies. Just ask the question, what will pull your target audience towards you?
Highlight the details accordingly. Use the necessary colors or fonts to get the attention it needs.
5. Flyers Go Well with Other Print Materials
Flyers, indeed, work well with other print media. Think about press kits and how the entire package contains a handful of literature that can be used to market your products. This is not to say, however, that all your campaigns be done with all the posters, postcards, brochures, all the works.

Postcard Printing Details You Should Not Forget

Postcard printing is one of the most popular printing services there are. Simply, it is a printing service you can easily avail among numerous online commercial printers present on the internet. As with any process with steps involved and certain requirements needed, it is sometimes unavoidable for certain details to be missed out in postcard printing.
There are also aspects that are left out just because of the numerous things you have in mind. To this, the only practical advice is to avoid rushing your job and always double check your postcard designs for errors, either in the design, text or the file itself.
What You Tend to Forget with Online Postcard Printing
Aside from the simple steps you would have to take to successfully complete your job order, do not forget these following information so you can print faster and smoother.
1. Waive the Proofing Option
If you are confident that after reviewing your own file, there are no errors present whatsoever, from the text to the design itself. And if you are certain that you have followed all the printers’ requirements, you can then waive the proof and forego.
This means that you do not want any proof and that once you have paid your job order in full, the printing company will send it for productions. Waiving the proof option, is of course, ideal for rush printing. But it has its risks because once your prints are run with errors in them, you cannot hold the printing company liable.
2. Turnaround Times
Turnaround times are the production times. This is the number of days it takes the printing company to finish processing your prints. It only applies once you have approved the proof and paid you order in full. Turnaround time does not cover the time you are accomplishing your job order. It does not include shipping rates and it does not, most importantly, apply on weekends and holidays.
3. Shipping Rates
Most of the time, shipping rates are not included in the printing quotes. However, there are printing companies who provide clients with an access to view the shipping rates by putting in their zip code.
What’s more, in some postcard printing companies, the weight of the number of your postcard orders are taken into consideration once you try to get the shipping rates for 500 postcards or 100,000 postcards. The shipping rates are updated and takes your input data for computing the rates.
4. Next Day Hard Copy Proof
For huge postcard orders and for those who are meticulous about the color quality of their postcards, you can obtain hard copy proofs which will be mailed to you the next day.
Where else can you get this kind of service other than a professional printing company who can provide you the color accuracy you need? Hard copy proofs, however, still needs to be approved and signed for your prints to run.
5. Aqueous or Gloss Coating
There are various card stocks available for your postcard printing projects. However, if you have chosen a gloss stock for your postcards, mind you that your postcards are already to be printed with a layer of Aqueous coating. This is of course free.

Designing Flyers With The End In Mind

Do you have an event in mind to showcase your products and services? Or a holiday sale perhaps? What about an end-of-season sale? Do you have a new item or merchandise in your list that you would want to introduce and promote to your clients? You can quickly get your message across to your clients and target audience by creating a flyer printing project that you can either mail to them, or personally hand out, or even put up in your area.
No matter how you get your flyer printing pieces to your potential customers – mail them, hand them out, leave them in places where people regularly meet and gather – your flyer printing project can be your most cost effective ally to market your products and services. Consisting of a one-page, letter sized, printed sheet of paper, your flyers are the cheapest, the easiest, and the most hardworking promotional tool that you can have in your marketing arsenal.
Need I say more to convince you? The important thing to consider now is that your flyer printing project should be an ally for your business to effectively promote your products and services to your target clients. Similar to brochures, your flyer printing pieces are made to do many tasks – promote and sell your products and services; introduce and explain your business to your potential customers; your flyers can even be used to emphasize a particular product or service that is very popular among your clients; and your flyer printing items can also promote an event that will further market your business to many of your target consumers.
But you have to keep in mind that not all flyers are effective agents to convince your target readers to consider your products and services, and the benefits that they can give your clients.
A good and effective flyer printing project must be able to clearly communicate your message, and most importantly, be bale to explain and eventually sell your products or services to your potential clients. And the only way you can explain and sell clearly is by having a flyer printing project that has clear and concise wordings, a well planned and organized flyer printing design, a professional looking layout, as well as a flyer printing project that clearly focuses on a particular subject.
Even if you have a limited budget and you cannot afford professional designers to do your flyer printing project for you, you have to keep in mind to develop flyers with an expert design, an effectively communicated content, and more significantly, a flyer printing project that exudes conifdence in what it has to offer its prospective clients.

The Advantage Of Infomercials Or Direct Response TV

What you should know about the advantage of infomercials?
In reality, if you watch a TV commercial in a 30-second spot. You may be interested to know the product; but that is about it. The next thing you do is search the internet or go to the store to know more of the product or go to the place to know more of the service. This factor is a hassle if you get interested with the product or service right away.
If you are marketing your products and services, your objectives are to generate product/service knowledge, then leading to market position, and productive revenue. In most circumstances, and in some corporate culture around the globe, you might want to value generating less capital on marketing expenses but maximizing results. But that depends on your marketing concept and direction, products or services, and your budget. And one of the most effective avenue for reaching and persuading vast numbers of people to try your products or services is the television.
This is when infomercials come in. Infomercials are joined terms of “information” and “commercials.” It is a commercial television or radio program offering the sponsor’s/ advertiser’s message to its target market or consumer demographic about the product or service. Infomercials are also known as Direct Response TV (DRTV), obviously, because they are aired on UHF and VHF channels and it results favorable response from its viewers. It is some people’s perception that infomercials are overrated. But no, they are not. The benefit of a direct response TV is its real-time inquiry and the advantage to place an order. This is in contrast with a 30-second commercial where the objective is to increase the visibility of the brand name. DRTV is the best advertising format especially for new and innovative products or services that can be demonstrated and shown.
Products and services like health and fitness products, cosmetics, dermatological and personal care products, nutritional supplements, kitchenware, appliances, spas, salons, and other products and services engage in Direct Response Marketing because they want to achieve a call-to-action: a direct response from a target audience or consumer who have seen your TV spot at a local or cable channel.
Direct Response Marketing or infomercials’ objective is to communicate its message DIRECTLY to its target audience or consumer demographics. Your message is your Product, Place of Distribution, and Price. Your message is mandatory. If you fail to do this, then your marketing strategy is a flop. The strategy to this is to give full information about the service or product; service’s or product’s pricing structure; where they can purchase the product; what the product’s or services unique selling point or the competitive advantage compared to other product type or service type; and the benefits and advantages of the product or the service.
With infomercials, a direct response television advertising agency, have the luxury of advertising placement to media networks to discuss everything about the product in a maximum of a 60-minute slot on TV. Compared with the usual 30-second or 1-minute TV commercials, infomercials can better persuade viewers to look seriously into the product or service, they have the ability to reach, engage and affect the audience intimately to certain degree that some viewers get addicted to watching infomercials to burn time or just because they are hooked.

Uk Media Advertising

ADVERTISING ON UK MEDIA
There are many options for advertising your brand, product or service within the UK advertising marketplace.
Below is a list of the various media options available to you.
Television
Radio
National Press
Local and Regional Press
Magazines
Cinema
Posters
Within each of the above media there are even more options available to you. However within this article I wanted to take this opportunity to take you through these various traditional media services, and impart my knowledge.
The reason behind this is I am in the process of building a new client portfolio and would like to offer my services to those of you who are interested in promoting your products or services in the Uk, but are not sure of where to start.
Let me also state that I do not intend to make this too technical, and intend only to make available to you the topline information to give you an outline understanding of what can be achieved.
Television
I have written an article on the early days of planning and buying Uk TV advertising which you can read by clicking here.
One of the most important and interesting changes in Uk TV advertising in the past decade, is the launch of Satellite and Digital TV channels in the UK. Which at the end of the day has basically reduced the entry cost level onto TV for many advertisers, it has also created many more viewing and buying options.
The choice and selection of TV channels are now in the region of 200+, but what does this mean ?
Basically it means no matter how big or small your budget is, there will be an opportunity to promote your brand or service on TV.
Let me take you through the various options available.
ITV
Can be purchased on a regional basis, and within various regions this can even be broken down into macro regions, making ITV more affordable than you may of envisaged.
Also ITV has a number of national satellite channels ie ITV2,3 ,4.
Within the ITV1 natoinal and even the satellite channels airtime can be purchased across a number of time bands :
Coffee Time (early morning pre-noon)
Daytime (1200-16.30)
Pre-Peak (16.30-18.00)
Peak (18.00-22.00)
Late off Peak (22.00-)
NB:These time bands are a rough guide for all stations.
So as an example if you have a brand that is targetted against adults 50+, they can be reached by promoting your product or service during pre-noon and 16.30-18.00 (which is a prime time slot for this age group).
Of course dependent on your target market there will be various different time bands and options for reaching your potential customers.
BREAKFAST TV
Is generally between 06.00-09.30 and is operated on a national and macro regional basis by GMTV, also CH4 operate a breakfast service.
Here again dependent on your target market these are ideal for reaching houswives and houswives with kids.
You will note that GMTV carries quite a large number of toy advertisers.
CH4
Similar to ITV though tends to be younger, however is available nationally and by macro regions.
CH4 also operate their own satellite stations +4 etc, which again offer a wide range of opportunities for reaching your target market (or as I say potential customers).
CH5
Available on a national basis.
Satelite/Digital Tv
The options available to you on these stations are huge, so rather than go into too much detail I will be brief. There are channels covering virtually every subject you can think off, from holidays, history, sport etc.
It should be noted though that satellite tv channels can only be purchased on a national basis, though the entry levels will be lower than launching an ITV1 campaign.
I should also make you aware though that ITV1 audience levels will also be higher than the satellite channels.
COMMENTS
It was my intention to keep the above information brief and just to give you a feel of what is available. The skill in understanding this marketplace background is where I come in with over 30 years of background and direct contacts with the media owners.
The research audience data in the UK is highly sophisticated and this can be discussed, should you be interested in advertising on TV,
Before I move on here is a list of the TV comercial sizes that can be purchased :
10', 20', 30', 40' and 60' seconds. (the average Uk TV commercial is 30 seconds).
RADIO
'The theatre of the mind' as I call it or as known in the industry.
Commercial radio in the Uk can be purchased locally or on a national basis. The flexibility of radio is the benifit of immediate call to action and can be used in any combination with other media or stand alone.
Local radio can be very cheap and a great way to promote any product or service, and add frequency to any campaign.
NATIONAL PRESS
Who said national press was dead, national press still attracts millions of readers day in day out.
The main uk titles are:
Sun and News of the world
Daily/ Sunday Mirror
Daily/ Sunday Mail
Daily/ Sunday Express
Daily/ Sunday Telegraph
Daily/ Sunday Times
Daily/ Independont on Sunday
Daily/ Sunday Star
FT
(there are other titles)
The various titles above reach a wide range of demographics, and can be planned to reach your target market using an array of sizes in colour or black and white. Lets not forget they also carry a wide variety of supplements which cover many topics ie Fashion, Food and Drink, Motoring etc.
LOCAL and REGIONAL PRESS
You will find thousands of these titles throughout the Uk, from free sheets to paid for titles.
They cover virtually every town and city in the UK.
They tend to cover just local news and events, and carry local classified advertising.
A great combination with local radio.
However if you are launching a product or service nationally and using local/regional press, you should compare the cost of a local/regional press campaign with national press. As sometimes you will find the national press option more cost-effective.
MAGAZINES
There are too many glossy magazines to list here, however there are many available within the Uk. Covering every topic and lifestyle you can think of.
From 'Cosmopolitan', 'Homes and Garden' to 'Fish friers Gazette' yes really.
The opportunities for reaching your potential customers (target market) can certainly be achieved with good planning and buying.
Within the glossy titles you can purchase (as an example) 1/4pages, 1/2pages, pages and double page spreads etc.
The key to getting it right is knowing your budget level and creative treatment and finally your target market.
Once this is set it's just a matter of good planning and negotiating on your behalf.
It should also be noted that many of these titles also carry classified advertising.
CINEMA
Cinema is an exellent media opportunity for exposing your brand or service to the younger end of the market ie 15-25 year olds. Using longer commercials which add great impact.
Cinema can be purchased in many packages from a particular genre to locations throughout the UK.
POSTERS
Or outdoor as we like to call it in the media. This covers a wide range of media options:
Static posters Buses Taxis Mobile posters London underground Railway advertising Bus stop advertising Store advertising Airports Ferry ports
It varies quite a lot and the opportunities are vast.
The key to any outdoor poster advertising in creative copy. By this I mean if you are placing a static poster wherever it may be, the copy must be short and concise, as your creative message has to be seen and understood quickly and easily, as passers by only have a shorttime frame to take onboard your message.
With locations such as bus stops railway stations and inparticular the underground stations it is possible to impart more copy as your potential viewer has more time to read your advertising copy.
The larger outdoor static sites are an exellent way for promoting your branding proposition.
With store posters being ideal to reach your potential customers at their point of purchase
Outdoor media opportunities can be found throughout the Uk, from high streets to airports.
